About 160 hours of audio and video interviews with musicians from different regions of Ukraine. The focus of the research is musical performance practices from rural instrumental musicians in various regions; another focus is women's singing groups, especially those performing ritual chants.

The archive was collected in the 1990s by the American ethnomusicologist William Noll, when he lived in Kyiv and worked at first at the Shevchenko Kyiv University, then at the Tchaikovsky Kyiv Conservatory. Together with the NGO he founded, the Center for the Study of Oral History and Culture, Noll collected the archive in ethnographic expeditions in central and western Ukraine.
